Anthony D. Interview

1.  24, 10/21/89 :)

2.Where are you from? Baltimore, MD, but grew up in York, PA.

3. Current occupation?

Recent college graduate, working part time as the Drama Director at a local High School while I pursue further employment.

4. Favorite current pop song? Wake Me Up by Avicii

5. Which do you prefer: boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs? Why?

I lean towards boxer briefs, they're comfy, fit me well, and keep everything in place.

6. Has your current preference always been your underwear preference? If not, what’d you switch from, and what made you change?

I used to wear boxers more when I was younger, probably because that's what all the other guys wore. I don't really know what made me change...

7. Do you favor any underwear brands? If so, which and why?

I wouldn't say I have a favorite brand, yet.

8. What would someone find if they went through your underwear drawer?

A bunch of neatly folded, brightly colored boxer briefs and trunks.

9.You get a natural wedgie in public – how do you handle it?

Always a tough choice. I'd probably just try to side step it out.

10. Do you have a lucky or favorite pair of underwear? If so, what color/style?

Right now I really enjoy my red and blue pairs of AE's Athletic trunks.

11. Do you have any funny or memorable underwear stories?

When I was in high school the older boys I hung out with played this game called 'sod-puck' ... They wore only their underwear (one guy usually wore themed thongs), wrestled around on the floor, and tried to 'sodomize' each other with the nubby end of an air hockey table paddle. I kid you not, and mind you these are very attractive straight men. Haha. I never played, but I was always score keeper. That's probably when I first realized I was into guys. Haha. They'd kill me if they knew I was sharing this. Whoops :)

12. GQ wrote an article a few months ago stating that “tighty-whities” are stylish now. How do you feel about tighty-whities, & do you agree with GQ?

I think well fitted and filled tighty-whities have always been in style. It's when they're saggy and old that makes them unstylish and a bad choice.

13. Words to live by?

Recently it's been. "Expect the bullshit, but never accept it."

Stuart Hatton Interview

Photo cred: GD Photoarts
I'm thrilled to publish this weeks interview with Stuart Hatton. Mr. Hatton is a professional dancer and model that has done some pretty sexy shoots. He's an extremely nice man, and kindly provided some photos of him modeling underwear which can be found at the end of the interview. I highly recommend you guys follow him on his TwitterInstagram, Facebook, and YouTube to keep up with him! There's also even more incredible photos of him on there!

1. Age: 28

2. Where are you from? South Shields, in the North East of England.

3. Favorite superhero?

Without going for the whole cliché of Superman /Batman is my favorite superhero, I was always that strange kid who loved the villains. Give me a Batman villain any day and I would totally tell you how I secretly would love to be them. I mean come on, SUPER VILLAINS are the best! I have a tattoo of Harley Quinn on my left hip. She is amazing. A psychiatrist turned super bad. I love her whole split duality of a lifestyle and sometimes it relates to mine. Not that I plan on taking over the world or anything but I can relate to juggling two separate lifestyles at once. The Riddler is pretty awesome too!

4. Zoolander or Hansel? Zoolander for sure

5. Have you always been fit?

I have always been a fit and active person. I am lucky that my job as a professional dancer keeps me in shape. I have so much energy that if I wasn’t a dancer or a model I would be bouncing of the walls like a ping pong ball. I just wouldn’t know what to do with myself.

6. Who or what inspired you to become a model?

Now this is going to sound clichéd but it was David Beckham. I am of that generation where every boy in the UK copied what Beckham did with his hair. That man has gone from professional football to practically ruling the world with his image. Who wouldn’t look up to him?

7. What would you say is the toughest aspect of being a model?

The travelling can get hard. There are times when you have just arrived from a long haul plane or train journey and you’re whisked away to look your best and all you wanna do is curl up in bed and go to sleep but instead it’s all stations go go go! Then there’s the diet, keeping a good mental discipline everyday to keep to a strict diet. I hope that in future years I have to model wooly jumpers and sweat pants so I can stick to eating a good chocolate cake a day…. Mmmmmm, chocolate cake.

8. What’s been the most rewarding experience as a model?

The most rewarding experience of modeling so far has been when younger people have come up to me and said that they have changed their lifestyles around from eating junk food and sitting around playing video games to a more balanced diet of eating meat and vegetables and that they have started going to their local gym as they find my body shape inspiring. You can’t help but feel a sense of warmth inside as a human being from knowing that you have helped someone’s life for the better.

9. Can you elaborate on your dancing history? Who or what inspired you to pursue dancing? When did you realize you could do it professionally?

I am fortunate enough to come from a dancing family. Both my grandparents were social dancers which in turn led my parents onto dancing. Both my parents are professional dance teachers in their own rights. It was only natural that I was to follow the same path as them and so has my younger brother. I apparently started dancing when I was 13 months old, so as soon as I started to walk really. I cannot remember taking my first dance steps. I’ve just always ‘known how to’ dance. I am now a professional Ballroom, Latin and Classical Sequence Teacher, Coach and Judge. The latter I have been fortunate enough to be a British Champion at. I also teach at the family dance studios in South Shields, The Hatton Academy of Dance and Arts and I love my job. I teach children from 18 months up to adults in their 90s. I find this job so inspiring. It has been so rewarding going on to train the winning British Championship Formation Teams over the years. That is my forte.  I have been fortunate enough to do so many things with my dancing career over the years, the most recent job I have finished is being a motion capture performer for Ubisoft on their New Game, Just Dance 2014. An experience of a lifetime on a global worldwide platform.

10. What has been the biggest struggle you have faced as a dancer? The most exciting experience?

I think any dancer will tell you that there is a ‘shelf life’ as a performer, quite similar to the modeling industry really. We all know that this game is not going to last forever. Therefore I am so lucky to have my teaching background and my classes which I started myself when I was 16. I have no worries of struggling to find a place when it all ends in the performing world as I have my safety-net of a good strong dance school to fall back on. I love my teaching. The most exciting experience for me was when my under 10 years Dance Team won the British Championship Title for the first time. I was so excited for the kids. The kids were so calmed and relaxed and received their trophies with dignity and such professionalism and I was bouncing around the arena like a lunatic. I guess I had trained the kids well. It was a classic teaching example of ‘do as I say and not as I do’

11. What is your favorite way to stay in shape?

I am lucky that my personal trainer, Grant Henson keeps me in shape. People ask me what I do at the gym and I have to reply with ‘I have no idea’.  Grant pushes me to change my routine all the time so that my body is constantly being pushed and worked and so I am not falling into a ‘same old same old’ routine. Obviously dancing 8 hours a day helps too.

12. Can you also tell me about what your regular diet looks like? Do you have a guilty pleasure when it comes to sweets or junk food?

Sure, my diet consists of meat and vegetables for breakfast and the same for lunch. My evening meal is that of meat or fish and again vegetables. My guilty pleasure is chocolate. I always pray that one day a scientist will come along and say that, ‘chocolate is now healthy’. My favorite is a Cadbury’s Double Decker bar or more recently their new one with the popping candy and jelly beans inside.

13. You have some pretty artistic tattoos – can you tell me the meaning or significance behind them?

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah sure, the 'Harley Quinn' tattoo on my hip I have because I love Batman and symbolically because of her split duality as I wanted a Gemini Tattoo to represent the twin or the duality of Gemini. Her red and black costume has a split meaning and then with her two guns, one with a fake bang and the other with a real bullet, well, they just seemed fitting. My friend Anna bought me that one. The Chinese symbol on my arm is in reference to my Chinese family heritage and it's the year I was born, the year of 'The Ox'. The 3 stars on my chest represent my Mum, me and my baby brother. The other tribal ones I drew myself on my break and then I took them into the tattoo parlor. So they are basically my doodles when I got bored.

13. Which do you prefer: boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs? Why?

I prefer briefs. I like something that has a lot of support. As I dancer for so many hours a day, I have to be supported ‘down there’ and I do not like my bits and bobs to do any bobbing or jangling while I am teaching.  So a bit of support is always nice.

14. Do you favor any underwear brands? If so, which and why?

I never used to know anything about underwear brands until I started to do this underwear game professionally. The brands that I find the most comfortable and that have the best style, to me are the Bruno Banini brands. Andrew Christian underwear is also designed nicely too.

15. Do you have a lucky or favorite pair of underwear? If so, what style/color?

My favorite pair is a white pair of Andrew Christian briefs. I got them given to me after a shoot and they have served me well ever since. If ever I am going to an event where there is luck required, I always wear my Andrew Christian white briefs. They have yet to fail me.

16. What would someone find if they went through your underwear drawer?

Lots of badly matched socks and a lot of odd socks trying to escape.

17. You get a natural wedgie in public – how do you handle it?

I’m not one for hiding things. I am a big character and most my friends know I am loud. If I had a wedgie I would have to say ‘listen guys, there’s no way I can pull this wedgie out gracefully, I’m just going to do it now! Be prepared!’

18. Do you have any funny or memorable underwear stories?

It was Xmas morning and I was 15. I was wearing these long boxers to bed and woke up to open presents with the family, as you do. It was a fun morning and pictures were being taken and laughter being had. When the photos came back from the shop a few days later, my mum called me over and said look at this picture son, it was a picture of her tickling me on the couch with my legs up in the air and laughing, it looked all normal until she pointed to my boxers and I saw that I had one testicle dangling out the side of those baggy boxers. It’s safe to say that picture was burnt soon after. Lesson learnt.

19. GQ wrote an article a few months ago stating that “tighty-whities” are stylish now. How do you feel about tighty-whities, & do you agree with GQ?

Tighty whities all the way for me. Give me a tighty whitey over a boxer any day.

20. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

I am a believer of karma and positive vibes and energies. So I do not like to give out any negativity. So the best bit of advice I ever received came from the Disney movie, Bambi. To quote the legend that is Thumper the Rabbit, ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say nothing at all’.
